Dolly often abused me - DJ Donald

07 August 2015 - 18:33 By S'duduzo Dludla

His slain girlfriend often called him a “loose” man who was "sleeping with the whole of Soweto"‚ former Jozi FM DJ Donald Sebolai said on Friday. Sebolai continued his testimony in his murder trial at the Johannesburg high court‚ sitting at the Palm Ridge Magistrate's Court southeast of Johannesburg.Sebolai‚ 38‚ allegedly stabbed Flavia Rachel “Dolly” Tshabalala‚ 32‚ to death after the couple had a fight at the DJ's Soweto home in August last year.He has pleaded not guilty to charges of murder‚ theft and defeating the ends of justice.Sebolai told the court of an altercation that turned violent one night last year when Tshabalala accused him of promiscuity. He said he had returned to Tshabalala‚ who was at her mother's house in Rockville‚ Soweto‚ after he had visited his aunt. A drunk Tshabalala had accused him of coming from “his prostitutes” and demanded to see his cellphone. When he refused to hand his phone over‚ she had grabbed him by his jacket and shaken him. Sebolai said he had retaliated by pushing Tshabalala into a doorway. He told the court that he had often suffered abuse at Tshabalala's hands and that the couple had argued in front of their friends and Tshabalala's child. One of the reasons for the perpetual fighting was Sebolai's cellphone‚ he said. Tshabalala would allegedly send messages to the mothers of Sebolai's three children. One one occasion‚ Sebolai was asleep in the car and woke up to Tshabalala going through his phone. She had sent a message to the mother of one of his children‚ saying that she was with Sebolai.“I told Dolly how she had messed up. Her actions resulted in me not having my child come over for the holidays‚” Sebolai said.He told the court how he suffered abuse when asking whether he and Tshabalala could have a fourth sex session with her friend Nonhlanhla Mkhize.“Dolly slapped me in the car until I couldn't take it anymore. I told her to pull over and let me out‚” Sebolai said.Mkhize denied that these threesomes had ever happened when she testified earlier.State witness Palesa Matladi Seseli earlier testified that she had seen Sebolai beat his friend and Tshabalala because he thought the two had been intimate. But Sebolai said he had reacted because he suspected his friend had tried to rape Tshabalala‚ who was drunk at the time. - TMG Courts and Law..
