Student dies after attack during suspected home robbery

A Port Elizabeth student who has been fighting for his life since Saturday after being savagely beaten with a cricket bat and left for dead inside his flat‚ has passed away. Authorities confirmed that the ventilator‚ which was keeping alive second-year computer science and applied mathematics student Asadullah Ajimudin‚ 19‚ was switched off and he officially died shortly after midday today.Ajimudin‚ 19‚ who is originally from Kimberley and lived in a flatlet in Summerstrand‚ has been in a coma since the attack at 4am on Saturday.The ruthless attack has left friends and family reeling in shock.
