Sixteen-year-old twin brothers necklaced on East Rand

Three youths have been killed in Etwatwa‚ near Benoni in Gauteng‚ this week. Twin brothers Sabelo and Samkelo Maisela‚ 16‚ were attacked‚ kidnapped and taken to an open field by a large crowd where they were killed. The siblings were severely assaulted and later set alight. The name of the third deceased is not yet known.Gauteng police spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Lungelo Dlamini said three young men have been killed in the area between Sunday and Monday.Dlamini said they have not established if the deceased were gang members.“Police in the area are engaging with members of the community who are accusing gang members for being responsible for crimes in the area.On Saturday‚ community members informed police about a group of young men that had grouped themselves under a bridge.
