If you want to braai on Heritage Day - the weather may be on your side according to the SA Weather Service.

Heritage Day is traditionally celebrated either by going and listening to a bunch of hot-air from politicians, or cooking your Boerewors over hot coals.

Of course a braai doesn't just have to be the national sausage - The Sunday Times has a few recipes to help spice up the menu.

And for the people of Gauteng, the weather is expected to be very cooperative.

According to Weather SA, Johannesburg can expect to see blue skies and temperatures reaching as high as 30 degrees Celsius.

The province can expect temperatures of about 32 degrees Celsius.

Limpopo is expected to be around 30 degrees Celsius - but North West is expected to be a sweltering 34 degrees Celsius.

While this is a nice bump in temperatures - according to the Weather Service it does not count as a heat wave.

It is expected to remain sunny until Monday - when the rain will return to cool things off.

It is expected to be somewhat cooler on the coast - both the Western and Eastern Cape are expected to be around 24 degrees Celsius, the Northern Cape can expect temperatures of 26 degrees Celsius, KZN will be 28 degrees Celsius.
