Rape accused kwaito star Sipho “Brickz” Ndlovu has denied stealing a Nedbank speedpoint machine at the Total Petroport on the N2 in Durban despite allegedly being captured on CCTV footage lifting the machine from the floor and putting it inside a car.

Ndlovu, who still has a pending case of rape and is set to appear at the Roodepoort Magistrates' court on October 26 for trial, told Sunday World through his lawyer, Dumisani Mabunda, that the speedpoint was actually stolen by one of the occupants of the car he was travelling in.

Brickz was driving a VW Caddy branded Step Ahead Productions when he arrived at the garage on Saturday September 5 and was in the company of two other people.

"We have him (Brickz) on CCTV camera stealing the machine," Cassim Malani of JBC Security, a company hired by Total South Africa to investigate theft of speedpoints at their garages countrywide, told the newspaper.

Mabunda said Ndlovu confirmed that he was there, but he said it's the people he was with who stole the machine and not him.
