Police Minister Nathi Nhleko is releasing the annual crime statistics in Parliament tomorrow. If you had a chance to ask him a question, what would you like to know?

The Minister will be releasing the information before the Portfolio Committee on Police.

Committee Chairperson, Francois Beukman, says it is for the first time that the Minister releases crime stats before the Portfolio Committee, a move he says will afford Committee members a prime opportunity to engage the Minister’s report right away.

“Ordinarily, Ministers would release crime stats outside of Parliament, thereby making it difficult for the Committee to interrogate the information instantly. The decision by Minister Nhleko, in this regard, is welcomed and the Committee is looking forward to Tuesday’s engagement,” Beukman said in a statement ahead of the announcement.
