Mystery soap queen in drugs bust

An unnamed "celebrity" will appear in court today after allegedly being caught with drugs at Johannesburg's OR Tambo International Airport. The arrest has led to widespread speculation about the identity of the woman, who is believed to be an actress.Luther Lebelo, of SARS, which was part of the bust, said that the woman held supporting roles in soaps such as e.tv's Scandal and Isidingo, on SABC3, and in SABC1's Skeem Saam.She had flown in from Abu Dhabi on Sunday afternoon and is alleged to have been found in possession of 15.45kg of ephedrine, worth R4.6-million on the black market.SARS said the drugs were discovered when her luggage was searched by customs officers. She had said she had nothing to declare.Police spokesman Brigadier Vishnu Naidoo denied that the woman was a celebrity, saying she had appeared only as an extra in a local soap opera.The inhabitants of the twittersphere had a field day playing detective in a desperate bid to figure out who the mystery actress is.#drugbust@janine_j said: "Roll call for SA actresses.
