The keenly awaited showdown between IBO flyweight holder Moruti ''Babyface" Mthalane and Makazole ''The Professor" Tete is finally on. KwaZulu-Natal promoter Thulani Magudulela confirmed yesterday that the fight would be held at Durban's International Convention Centre on November 8.''I am in possession of an agreement from Mthalane's camp in regards to the fight," he said."Makazole's promoter, Ayanda Matiti, said he has a fight lined up for Makazole in December, but he does not object to the clash against Moruti [before then]."Trainer Nick Durandt said: "Makazole has been calling for this fight to happen for a very long time."The showdown has the makings of an enthralling contest as the boxers have similar fighting styles. Though they both love going forward, Mthalane's aggression, crippling power with both hands, solid defence and big-fight temperament give him the advantage. He boasts 20 knockouts from 31 wins against two losses.Tete, 29, is undefeated after 15 fights.
