Trapped in a ratings app

A new app has caused shock, worry and glee in equal measure - it lets you give star ratings to everyone you know, and there is no way to opt out of being judged. The app asks you to give someone a star rating from one to five. You enter their cellphone number into the app and leave anonymous reviews. They can remove negative reviews only if they sign up to the app themselves."People do so much research when they buy a car, so why not do the same kind of research on other aspects of your life?" said Julia Cordray, one of the app's founders.She created the app with a mother who wanted to build a system to help her determine whom to trust with her children. ..
