FBI thwarts deals to sell 'dirty bombs' to IS

Eastern European crime syndicates have reportedly been attempting to sell nuclear materials to Middle East groups, including Islamic State. An investigation by the Associated Press has found that the FBI, working with local authorities, have thwarted four gang attempts to sell radioactive material in Moldova. Sky News reported yesterday that one case in February "involved a smuggler looking for an Islamic State buyer for enough deadly caesium to contaminate hundreds of homes and offices". ..
