Hilton 'f**kbois' under investigation over gangbang picture

An Instagram photograph of five boys from a top KwaZulu-Natal private school simulating a gang rape has created a social media backlash. The boys, pupils of Hilton Collage, are being investigated after being photographed pretending to have sex with a "girl" dressed in the blue summer uniform of neighbouring girls' school St Anne's. The "girl" was in fact a Hilton Collage boy.In the picture two of the boys are seen forcing the purported girl's head into the crotch of the third, a fourth is pictured simulating sex with her.The picture was captioned: "Apparently we are f**kbois yet they love us anyway.""F**kboi" denotes a loser.Hilton College principal Peter Ducasse confirmed that one of the school's pupils had posted the "offensive" photograph on Tuesday on his Instagram account."We are appalled and cannot condemn this sufficiently strongly. It flies in the face of all that the school stands for and teaches."Ducasse said the school was investigating and would take "appropriate disciplinary action".The private school, tuition at which costs R219500 a year, would not say when the incident took place or whether the boys were still at the school. When The Times contacted the pupil who posted the picture, he cut off the call.St Anne's headmaster Dave Arguile yesterday condemned the picture."It simulates a sexual act and is accompanied by an offensive caption," said Arguile."I have had meetings about the incident with our Form 6 girls, the Old Girls' Guild committee and our staff, [and have] brought the incident to the attention of Sharon Wells, chairman of our college board," he said.He said St Anne's would keep a close eye on Hilton College's response to the incident.Social media users have slammed the school and the boys "for perpetuating the rape culture", with #HiltonCollege trending. One user posted: "Privilege cushions against the consequences of rape culture. Money buys access to everything, including women's bodies."But some users, including a Hilton College old boy, defended the picture and comments. He posted: "Apparently having group sex, or even pretending to do so, [equals] rape, regardless of the woman's own free will."..
