Wanted court escapee re-arrested

A suspect who escaped from the Tembisa Magistrate’s Court on the East Rand while awaiting trial for the hijacking of two police officers in Rabie Ridge has been re-arrested by police. Gauteng police spokesman spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Lungelo Dlamini said Bafana Ngwenya‚ 34‚ was wounded during his arrest and was under police guard in hospital.He added that the man‚ who was found with a toy pistol when police re-arrested him‚ will face several charges including armed robbery‚ hijacking and possession of unlicenced firearms as well as an additional charge of escaping from custody‚ when he appears in court on Monday.Ngwenya was one of four suspects arrested last year in connection with the hijacking of the two police officers in Rabie Ridge...
