Cape storm wreaks havoc

Eskom will pay for the damage to a home in Cape Town after a pylon crashed into its roof yesterday. Eskom spokesman Jolene Henn said they would pay for repairs to the Sunningdale house."We have met the residents and we explained the procedure they need to follow. it's like when you file for an insurance claim."The "tower of a major 132kV overhead power line" collapsed on to a house in Table View. Henn attributed the incident to "adverse weather conditions". She said a six-minute power outage affected 36000 local residents.Homeowner Leslie-Ann La Guerra said: "We have found accommodation and Eskom is paying for it." ..
