Brits are crazy about DeLazy's dance track

Toya DeLazy, whose real name is Latoya Nontokozo Buthelezi, has cracked the UK music scene, making her debut on the Cool Cuts UK chart with her song, Luv My City. It is her first chart entry outside Africa.Currently on the 20th spot, DeLazy's song is a re-recorded solo version of an earlier version of the song that originally featured Mahikeng-born rapper Cassper Nyovest.Also on the UK chart is French DJ and producer David Guetta with Bang My Head, featuring Sia and Fetty Wap; and Grammy nominees Disclosure with Magnets, featuring Lorde.DeLazy moved to London earlier this year and started playing gigs at small venues, where the song hit a chord with audiences.She said: "The response from the crowd was so great that we decided to re-record the track with my original lyrics, for a release in the UK."These lyrics feel more like me, it reflects exactly where I am at right now, starting all over again."The 25-year-old songstress took to social media sites Instagram and Twitter to share the news with fans.She tweeted: "Took a leap and now we are about to make a footprint!"Fans responded with messages of congratulations including @Janetssa's instagram comment: "You make us South Africans proud girl.
