Where is our promised land?

The Times editorial makes a pertinent point, namely identifying racism as being economic and structural in nature, and most of its victims are black. It also asked: "What stops the ANC from using its electoral mandate to radically transform our society?"Those in charge of our public purse have a duty to change the economic landscape and scorn short-term measures proposed merely because elections are approaching.The editorial hit the nail on the head: White domination and its offspring, racism, are deeply rooted in apartheid's continued presence in our economic situation.Recently Professor Jonathan Jansen correctly chastised the governing elite for celebrating incompetence. The idea of criminalising gross incompetence will help bring about a better life for all.Surely, official heads must roll over the country's education crisis?The youth of South Africa demands quality education as a tool for economic freedom.Let 2016 be a year of unprecedented change...
