Harrison Ford is the new king of the box office, his films having cumulatively made more money than anyone else's. Five years ago, Samuel L Jackson was anointed the "highest-grossing" actor by The Guinness Book of World Records.Among Jackson's most notable audience-pleasing hits were the three Star Wars prequels in which he played the Jedi Master Mace Windu. But now one of the original stars of the franchise has overtaken Jackson. Thanks to the colossal success of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which has already grossed more than $1-billion worldwide, Harrison Ford is now top dog.According to Box Office Mojo, which maintains an updated list of grosses, movies starring Ford have made $4.7-billion, compared to Jackson's $4.6-billion.Despite recent criticism of a lack of roles for black actors, they feature high on the list. Alongside Jackson, Morgan Freeman places fourth, while Eddie Murphy is fifth. The highest-placed woman is Cameron Diaz, who appears in 15th position, thanks largely to her voice work as Princess Fiona in the four Shrek films. The top 10:1 Harrison Ford $4.7bn2 Samuel L Jackson $4.6bn3 Tom Hanks $4.3bn4 Morgan Freeman $4.3bn5 Eddie Murphy $4.3bn6 Tom Cruise $4.2bn7 Robert Downey jnr $3.5bn8 Johnny Depp $3.2bn9 Michael Caine $3.2bn10 Gary Oldman $3.1bn ..
