Motorists get stuck in a flood at Gilloolys Interchange

Gilloolys Interchange has been struck by flooding - trapping several motorists.

According to EWN two trucks are amongst the vehicles stuck at the interchange in Bedfordview.

Ekurhuleni metro police’s Kobedi Mokheseng told EWN that officers were on the scene, redirecting traffic.

“We are advising motorists to use alternative routes and to also exercise caution there.”

Apparently some people tried to make it through the flood waters anyway - and failed.
