Six months ago CCTV footage showed the brutal beating of Sonwabile Jakuja at the hands of three white men - the men are still at large.

"I thought the law is on my side but in Cape Town the law is not on my side, if you’re a black person nothing will happen,” Sonwabile Jakuja told eNCA.

The three men pulled Jakuja out of his car and beat him until he was unconscious by the side of the road. He ended up spending seven days in ICU.

"The only thing I tried to do is to pass and then they were swearing, I don’t know what word they were using, each and every word they could and then after that they started driving off," said Jakuja.

While the CCTV footage is good enough to identify the men - it didn't catch their license plate. Table View police confirmed to eNCA that a case had been opened, but until somebody comes forward with the men's identities their crime will go unpunished.

The footage can be viewed on eNCA's website.
