Neighbour arrested for alleged rape of nine-year-old girl

A 25-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly raping a nine-year-old girl in Ga-Rasai village in Jericho near Brits‚ North West police said. Police spokesperson Major Pelonomi Makau said it was alleged that on Thursday evening the suspect‚ who is the victim’s neighbour‚ pulled the young girl who was on her way to a friend’s house off the street into his house and raped her.“After the ordeal‚ the suspect instructed her to go home‚ where she reported the incident to her mother.“The incident was reported to the police who took the victim to the clinic where rape was confirmed‚” Major Makau said.The suspect would appear in the Brits Magistrate’s Court on Monday on a charge of rape‚ Maj Makau added...
