KwaZulu-Natal mom of three commits suicide after their dad’s funeral

Three children were orphaned on Monday when their mother committed suicide after returning from the funeral of their father‚ who had also committed suicide by hanging. This is according to According to Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA)‚ who were called out to the scene in Verulam‚ KwaZulu-Natal.“A 31-year-old nurse has been found dead in her bedroom by her 4-year-old son‚” RUSA said in a statement on its Facebook page.Paramedics found her hanging from the ceiling rafters. “She had hung herself using a washing line cord. She was declared deceased by medics‚” RUSA said.The nurse‚ who is based at Wentworth Hospital‚ was last seen alive at approximately 7am this morning. The family told paramedics she had just returned from Empangeni after attending the funeral of her ex-boyfriend‚ who is the father of her three children.“She was inconsolable after he also committed suicide by hanging without leaving a note.“Reaction Officers were handed a suicide note found by the deceased's sister who explained how her children should be cared for and how her funeral should be conducted.”..
