Green-fingered foursome arrested for 'farming dagga'

A seemingly normal residential property was found to be a dagga cultivation hub when members of the Hawks and National Cross Border Operations executed a search warrant on Friday morning. Police found hundreds of dagga plants being cultivated as well as air conditioners‚ extractor fans and lights which were being used to cure it‚ the police's Lieutenant Robert Netshiunda said in a statement.The equipment was found in the main house as well as the Wendy houses inside the yard at Symhurst Extention 1‚ Germiston."Two women and two men‚ one of them a Nigerian national‚ were arrested for allegedly using their house as a Green House for cultivating Cannabis‚" Netshiunda said."The suspects‚ ages between 18 and 38 years‚ will appear before the Germiston Magistrate’s Court on Monday. They will answer to charges of cultivating and dealing in cannabis."..
