Woman killed‚ 18 injured in taxi collision on West Rand

An elderly woman was killed and 18 other passengers injured in a collision involving a taxi and a transporter in Witpoortjie west of Johannesburg on Monday‚ paramedics said. ER24 said the injured included young children. Injuries ranged from minor to critical.“Paramedics treated the patients and provided them with advanced life support interventions‚” it added.“Once treated‚ two critically injured patients were airlifted to nearby hospitals for further treatment‚ one by the ER24 helicopter and another by a private service.“The remaining patients were treated for their injuries and thereafter transported to various hospitals for further treatment‚” the emergency medical service added...
