Stars beat struggling Celtic 2-1 in Bloemfontein derby

The bragging rights for the 2015-2016 season belong to the red half of Free State after Free State Stars beat struggling Bloemfontein Celtic to complete a league double over their rivals.Enterprising midfielder Sello Jafta scored a brace in the 2-1 victory to silence the Celtic supporters who were in good spirits before their opponents scored a second goal after the hour mark.The singing of Celtic's famous songs was just not as loud when the score was still tied at 1-1.Celtic came into this match seeking some joy after weeks of chaos in management and a horrible run of results, with just one victory since December.This defeat will again put the spotlight on Serame Letsoaka, who stood motionless on the touch line at the final whistle. While Letsoaka believes he has the backing of management, chairman Max Tshabalala is unpredictable, so the coach is by no means safe from the axe.The afternoon did not start well for Phunya Sele Sele as Jafta struck early in the 24th minute.Celtic levelled matters when Fiston Abdul Razak converted from the penalty spot eight minutes before the break after winger Thapelo Morena was brought down in the box by left back Bokang Tlhone. Before the start of the second, seven Celtic supporters were introduced as the interim committee which will work closely with management to resolve problems at the club.Ea Lla Koto' s introduction of Musa Nyatama for Shane April did not help, because it was Stars who got the all-important goal, from the boot of Jafta...
