A woman died in the crash.

ER24 spokesperson Werner Vermaak said paramedics rushed to the scene after a report that a car had crashed into a wall.

“EMS found a bakkie near a damaged wall of a building, several metres away from the road. It is believed the bakkie hit the pavement and crashed into the wall, ” he said.

“Paramedics found three critically injured patients lying near the damaged vehicle. A woman, believed to be in her 30s, was dead,” he said.

Vermaak said medics attending to the wounded found various items of clothing missing.

“They [medics] were told that a group of bystanders arrived on the scene moments after the crash and apparently stole all their [the victims'] personal belongings, including clothes and shoes. The injured said bystanders went through the damaged vehicle and took several items,” he said.
