Cop nabbed for cash-in-transit robbery

A police constable has been arrested after he and five accomplices posing as policemen allegedly robbed a cash-in-transit vehicle in Kraaifontein‚ Cape Town‚ on Tuesday night. The suspects‚ two of them in full police uniform‚ used a marked police van to pull over a cash-in-transit vehicle along the Wabrug Road.The suspects held the guards at gunpoint and robbed them of an undisclosed amount of money.“The investigations led the Hawks to a house of a 33-year-old police constable in Khayelitsha where one bag containing cash was recovered.“Five men are still at large and a manhunt has been launched to bring them to book‚” said Hawks spokesman Major Robert Netshiunda...
