A-loota continua amid #Tshwane ANC mayoral protests

Big supermarket chains are now being targeted by angry protesters in Tshwane‚ after a night of targeting small shopkeepers. After a failed attempt to loot the Denlyn Mall in Mamelodi‚ protesters in Garankuwa moved to big retailers. They looted Shoprite's U-Save and moved to the nearby Kegato Supermarket‚ leaving a trail of mess on the way. Journalists who attempted to capture the act were chased away by the angry mob and one even had their memory card removed after capturing images of the looting.WATCH: Looting has flared up again in Ga-Rankuwa as journalists are chased away from the scene in Tshwane.Posted by Times LIVE on Wednesday, June 22, 2016Back in Mamelodi West‚ Yishak Wangore‚ one of the Ethiopians who had spoken to TMG Digital earlier of how his two tuck shops had been looted‚ was in tears. The last tuckshop he had been able to lock‚ was broken into‚ and everything was taken.“Please help my brother. Look. It was my only shop left. Somebody please help us‚” he cried as he loaded two empty fridges and storage crates into a van. By 4pm‚ the violence across Tshwane's largest townships had subsided but police were still roaming around as there is fear that more looting could take place in the night. ..
