Thugs rob‚ stab paramedics in Happy Valley

Paramedics were threatened with a knife‚ stripped of their personal belongings and one of them stabbed with a broken bottle by robbers as they loaded a patient into an ambulance in Cape Town. Emergency services spokesman Robert Daniels said the crew were robbed of handbags‚ wallets and their cellphones. One of the paramedics was stabbed with a broken bottle and the ambulance was vandalised.There have been several incidents of paramedics being attacked in and around the city this year.A provincial emergency services crew was robbed at knifepoint in Khayelitsha in May. And in January a paramedic was robbed of medical equipment in Mitchells Plain. ..
