Soweto police are on the trail of a 50-year-old man who allegedly assaulted his elderly mother on his birthday. Nhlanhla Radebe‚ of Mofolo‚ Soweto‚ allegedly beat up his mother Dorah Radebe‚ 84‚ on Tuesday after an argument."The suspect used a piece of wood in the house and beat the granny on the upper body and also on her feet. He then left the house and is on the run‚" said police spokesperson Constable John Serala."We have been reliably informed that he is now in Alexandra and are searching for him." Tshepo Radebe‚ the victim's grandson‚ who took the matter to the police‚ said that the birthday boy wanted his mother out of the house."He beat my grandmother because he wants the house. I do not live with them. He [Nhlanhla] knows that he is the only one among the children who is left…" Tshepo told TMG Digital...
