Crooks trying to get ID numbers from grant recipients

The South Africa Social Security Agency has issued a warning to grant recipients about an opportunistic message being circulated "all over" the Internet and via SMS.The message states:"Good Day. Kindly contact us. Send names‚ ID num‚ Acct num to 060 846... for your R98500 SASSA loan approved. 99% approval. sendloan@sent.com"SASSA urged grant recipients to protect their details and not to fall for the tricksters. It also asked people to caution their relatives‚ who may not be online to see the warning for themselves."This is not a message from SASSA. Our agency does not offer loans to beneficiaries and we continue to warn social grant recipients to avoid taking loans of any kind as it will lead to deductions on your social grants."Protect your social grant details‚ do not give your SASSA card and/or pin to anyone.... ‪#‎HandsOffOurGrants‬."..
