Nasty C, Wodumo to shine

Johannesburg might be home to the 2016 MTV Africa Music Awards but it is Durban's artists who are gearing up to entertain. The organisers of the awards, popularly known as the MAMAs, announced that Durban's freshest rapper Nasty C and social phenomenon Babes Wodumo, known for her instant hit Wololo, will perform with Nigerian artist Yemi Alade at Johannesburg's Ticketpro Dome on October 22.This year's theme is "gold standard". In its sixth year, the MAMAs will not only celebrate Africa's finest artists but it will also entertain about 15000 fans expected to attend.Up for grabs are gongs in 18 categories that include best male, best female, best song, best collaboration, listeners' choice and personality of the year.The nominees will be announced on September 21 in Johannesburg and on October 2 in Lagos. ..
