Holidays, sleepovers and expensive gifts for Panayiotou's mistress - witness

A close friend of murder accused Christopher Panayiotou's mistress has testified how he had sleepovers with her when his wife was away. Clarishka Kapp also testified the affair had predated his marriage and how he had doubts on his wedding day. Kapp‚ testifying in the High Court in Port Elizabeth where Panayiotou is on trial for his wife Jayde's kidnapping and murder‚ also said he took Chanelle Coutts on hotel holidays and bought her expensive gifts including a watch costing R2‚000 and Polo handbags which are priced starting from about R1‚000. Testifying that the affair between Coutts and Panayiotou had predated his marriage‚ Kapp said she spoke to Panayiotou on his wedding day. He didn't know if he was making the right decision. Coutts was "very upset".Kapp said she and Coutts had drinks at Panayiotou and Jayde's home when Jayde was at her mom's house.She was also at the home on two other occasions with Coutts. She did not know where Jayde was on the two other occasions.Coutts had slept over at the marital home. She would tell her mom that she (Coutts) was sleeping over at Kapp's place‚ the witness said.Kapp described a night when she slept in a bottom floor room while Panayiotou and Coutts slept in the top bedroom.- TMG Digital/HeraldLive..
