Some people believe that food is the foundation of happiness, others believe it's better than sex. And, like food, some artists have the ability to make us happy with music as decadent as triple chocolate cake. Ahead of the MTV Africa Music Awards this Saturday, we asked local nominees Cassper Nyovest, Nasty C, Riky Rick and Mi Casa's J'Something one simple question: If you were a meal what would you be and why? And we got some interesting answers.Durban-born rapper Nasty C, a nominee for best collaboration, best video and breakthrough artist of the year, didn't hesitate.The 19-year-old Hell Naw hitmaker said: "Basically I'd be anything that's been off for five months because nobody can eat me."But for Nyovest who is aggressively working towards his summer body goals and his "Fill Up the Stadium" concert later this month, his choice was simpler. Hoping to bag the award for best live act, Nyovest said he would be bread. "I think bread is in everybody's life, it's very ordinary, I think I'm ordinary and easy going. It's very easy to make a sandwich," he said.Best hip-hop nominee, Rick, who is regularly seen in daring shorts or fur coats with no shirt on at red-carpet events, said he would be pizza because it was "all about the toppings, the base is always the same, it's about different flavours".Chef and Mi Casa frontman J'Something instantly conjured up lascivious thoughts when he described himself as a pulled pork macaroni and cheese. "It's warm, comforting, delicious and there's something about a mac and cheese that's comforting. It's easy," he said...
