Football star David Beckham will be in Johannesburg this week to share some “intellectual capital”.
He’ll be one of the speakers at the Discovery Leadership Summit to be held in Sandton on Friday.
“I’m pleased to be attending the Discovery Leadership Summit‚” said Beckham.
“It’s always great returning to South Africa where I have always felt the warmth and passionate spirit of its people.”
The summit has been described as “a flagship‚ global thought-leadership event that enables the sharing of intellectual capital to contribute to leadership in business‚ government and civil society”.
Joining Beckham will be former General Electric CEO Jack Welch‚ Huffington Post founder Arianna Huffington‚ Harvard historian and economist Niall Ferguson‚ Financial Times columnist Simon Kuper and Discovery founder and CEO Adrian Gore.
