Motorist killed in botched Riverlea hijacking

A man who was found in a critical condition with gunshot wounds in a car in Riverlea south of Johannesburg on Saturday morning has died from his injuries. ER24 spokesperson Chitra Bodasing Harduth said the man‚ who was found slumped over in the driver’s seat of the vehicle which was found in Nasrec Road‚ sustained severe injuries to the head.He was transported to hospital but his vital signs had deteriorated.Suspects arrested after shootout with police in Sandton wanted for string of robberiesThe three men arrested after a shootout with police on Grayston drive in Sandton on Wednesday morning were wanted for a string of robberies in the province‚ Gauteng police said. “Despite all efforts to save the man‚ he sadly died as the paramedics arrived at the hospital‚” Bodasing Harduth said.“The exact details surrounding the incident are unknown.
