A man was killed when he was struck by a train in Durban on Monday morning.

The man‚ believed to be in his 30s‚ was run over by a train near Leopold and Field Streets in central Durban.

Rescue Care's Gareth Jamieson said emergency services were on scene.

"Investigations are under way as to what led to the collision‚" said Jamieson.
