The Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court was due on Wednesday continue hearing two bail applications for men accused of being behind the R20-million cash heist at OR Tambo international airport.

Philakuhle Cosmos Ntanzi‚ the eighth man arrested‚ will launch his formal bail application while the defence for Prince Raphael Dube will present a supplementary affidavit in response to evidence lead by the State in opposition of his bail‚ which was heard last week Tuesday.

The court heard on Tuesday of the alleged involvement of France Manaka‚ who police say SMS’d details of the container holding the cash to his co-accused on the night of the robbery.

Manaka is employed as a vault supervisor with Guard Force‚ a private security company that deals with the transportation of high risk cargo.

Manaka told the court he was on duty at the time of the robbery‚ working at another Dubai-bound plane‚ when he and his colleagues were informed there had been a robbery.

Judgement on the bail applications of Sonqishe‚ Manaka and Mnisi are expected on Friday while Thlokwane will launch his bail application.
