4 kg hairball oozes out of girl's stomach during surgery

An 18-year-old teen went through surgery to have a ball of hair removed from her stomach.

"In fact her stomach was so badly swollen from hair and bits of wool from the carpet that it literally just oozed out as soon as the wall of the stomach was cut," Dr Bahadir Bebezov said according to the Telegraph.

Huffington Post reports the Kyrgyzstan girl had complained of being unable to drink water or eat. Her habit of picking up and eating hair including chewing on her own had led to severe stomach pains and an X-Ray revealed the hairball which had to be quickly removed.
