A giant statue in Jinzhou city of central China’s Hubei Province is ready to stun the world.

The 58-meter-high statue of Guang Yu, a deified general from the Three Kingdoms Period (220-280), is still under construction and will be fitted with more than 4,000 pieces of bronze sheet, CCTV News reported.

The colossal statue weighing 1,200 tons costs 1.5 billion yuan (229.6 million US dollars). It is expected to be completed in April and open to the public in June.
