JENNIFER Lopez's manager, Benny Medina, claims that the star has a habit of letting "obsessive guys pursue her". He said the singer and actress was on "fertile ground" to be swept off her feet following her split from husband Marc Anthony.

Medina told Vogue magazine that this was how J-Lo hooked up with her back-up dancer, Casper Smart, 24, who is 18 years younger than Lopez.

According to the Daily Mail, Medina said the voluptuous star explained that she had been "touched" by the dancer after coming out of a relationship in which she was not getting what she needed.

He said Lopez had cycled through so many romances because she never did things by halves and always totally committed to relationships. In addition to Anthony, Lopez has two other ex-husbands and was once engaged to Ben Affleck.

"The thing that I always sort of wished is that she would give herself time to just naturally meet someone, instead of having obsessive guys pursue her," Medina said.

Kissing your sister

A ROW has broken out among Whitney Houston's closest family members over a relationship between the late singer's daughter and her adopted son.

Houston's mother has attacked her granddaughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, claiming that she is committing incest by hooking up with her "adopted" brother. But, according to the TMZ website, Brown hit back, saying she would continue dating 22-year-old Nick Gordon. He was unofficially adopted by Houston 10 years ago because he had family problems.

TMZ claimed that Brown, 19, confessed to close friends that she did not consider her love affair incest, as they were not blood relatives. A video released this week showed the pair kissing and cuddling on a visit to a pizza parlour. Brown has also been wearing a ring which friends say could signify that the pair are engaged.

But her grandmother, Whitney's grieving mom Cissy, refuses to accept the relationship. She said Gordon was taking advantage of Brown and has allegedly tried to get him evicted from the Atlanta townhouse where they are living.

I am sure we will hear much more on this one ...

Party animal

THE daughter of former Republican presidential candidate John McCain has told Playboy magazine that she is "straight, single and drinks whiskey and Coke".

In a surprisingly candid interview, Meghan McCain said she was not private about anything, especially her love for men. "I can't help it. I love sex and I love men," she said.

The 27-year-old activist said she nearly overdosed on anti-depressants during her father's election campaign and jumped four dress sizes after a diet of Starbucks and candy.

The Daily Mail reports that McCain does not pose nude in the magazine, but shows some cleavage. She defended her reputation as a party girl. "What am I supposed to do, stay in and read a book?" she asked. "I come from a family of whiskey drinkers. There's nothing wrong with going out and listening to music and having a little Jack and Coke."

However, she admits she does have problems dating, because many suitors want to talk about politics, which is a turn-off for her, and others think they know everything about her after a simple Google search.

She is single at the moment and is very happy about that. However, I am sure there's a whiskey-slugging man not interested in politics just waiting for her.

Punctured dream

A BRIDE-to-be in a dream wedding contest in the UK ended up in hospital this week after she was allegedly stabbed ... by her fiancé.

The Sun newspaper reports that police arrested Lee Rowlands, 36, at the home he shared with his lover, Madi Moir, in Doncaster, South Yorkshire. She was taken to hospital, where she was treated for several wounds.

The couple, who had been together for two years, were among five finalists in a radio station's £25000 (R300000) dream wedding contest, which included a honeymoon in Sri Lanka.

In her application, Madi said: "We wish we had met years ago. We love each other and want to shout it to the world."

But a source told The Sun: "They certainly won't win it now - and you can't imagine that there'll be a wedding of any sort." Well, you never know for sure - it's a strange world out there.
