President Jacob Zuma is taking a few days off to rest, according to a post on Twitter on Wednesday.

"I am taking a few days off to rest and enjoy watching the sun rise and set without rushing anywhere, till Saturday," the note read.

Presidency spokesman Zizi Kodwa confirmed that Zuma would be off until Saturday.

He returned from the Democratic Republic of Congo on Tuesday, where he co-chaired the 7th DRC-South Africa Bi-national Commission with his counterpart, Joseph Kabila.
