Cosatu and the ANC are holding regular bilateral discussions on e-tolling and labour broking, the union federation said on Thursday.
The ongoing bilateral discussions were agreed to last month, spokesman Patrick Craven said.
"The two task teams have been meeting ever since.
At this stage, the content of the meetings was not being discussed.
"At some point we will issue a statement," Craven said.
The Congress of SA Trade Union announced on Tuesday it was planning "the mother of all protests" against e-tolling. It would encourage its two million members to join rallies, marches, demonstrations and night vigils across the country on April 23.
E-tolling on Gauteng highways was expected to start on April 30.
