The Economic Freedom Fighters party says it will seek a court interdict to halt the Wits University Student Representative Council (SRC) election process.

It will also seek to have EFF SCR election candidates reinstated and a suspension of EFF student members lifted.

The party said on Monday evening that while it welcomed the decision by the university to reinstate the EFF student society which was suspended last week following the disruption of a Students Representative Council (SRC) election debate‚ it condemned the decision not to withdraw the disqualification of EFF SRC candidates and the suspension of some of its student members.
