Zille's cabinet getting devices to change traffic lights from red to green

Pioneering Western Cape premier‚ Helen Zille‚ proclaimed that members of her cabinet will never‚ ever be late again. On Monday‚ each will be issued with a remote-control device to change the traffic lights from red to green. HAPPY APRILS FOOLSBecause they may not use blue lights‚ members have complained that they are often late for meetings.The province’s Minister for Transport and Public Works‚ Donald Grant‚ consulted with several IT professionals before giving the green light for the rollout.“It basically works like your TV remote control. As you approach the traffic light‚ you can just change it from red to green‚ all at the click of a button‚” said Zille.Mutters over Parliament’s new ‘muzzle’ list"Zuptagate" can't be unparliamentary. Posing a similar lack of threat to the decorum of the house is "faction".“None of our Cabinet Ministers will ever be late. It’s part of our good governance strategy.”Minister of Economic Opportunities Alan Winde thanked Zille for the ''great idea''.“When we visit Gauteng and those other provinces‚ blue light convoys are a bit much. They are loud and disruptive. But in the Western Cape‚ we’ll be quiet about it.
