Malema and EFF entourage refused entry into ANC-aligned Tembisa hostel

Economic Freedom Fighters leader Julius Malema was met with hostility when he visited Sethokga hostel in Tembisa on Tuesday where two EFF members were killed during election campaigning earlier this year. Fighters chant struggle songs as they await the CIC in #Tembisa#SethokgaHostelpic.twitter.com/UbULHr82F1— EFF Official Account (@EFFSouthAfrica) June 21, 2016asyncMalema together with his entourage and a large number of EFF members clad in EFF regalia were refused entry into the hostel‚ which is believed to be an African National Congress stronghold.A large group of men‚ some of whome were wearing ANC party t-shirts‚ blocked the entrance to the hostel chanting "hambani la‚ asinifuni la" which translates to "go away‚ we don’t want you here".The group was armed with sticks‚ stones and pangas.Police officers who encircled the EFF leader to protect him and journalists then fired three warning shots‚ after which the crowd dispersed‚ running into the hostel.Malema's supporters were also involved in a stand off with the group before the EFF leader left the area.Malema was in the township to visit the two families of the EFF members‚ Tsietsi Mothibe and Kenny Matjamane‚ who died after being attacked at the hostel.The EFF said on Twitter: "The ANC Warlords in #SethokgaHostel‚ #Tembisa are refusing EFF entry into the Hostel so CIC can see where EFF members were killed."It can't be that #SethokgaHostel will be a no go area for the EFF. South Africa belongs to EFF too!."..
