Broad smiles as Malema's family and EFF leaders attend his Unisa graduation

TMG Digital | 30 March, 2016 18:42

The Economic Freedom Fighters top leadership including lawyer Dali Mpofu and Masters graduate Floyd Shivambu - wearing their own academic gowns with red berets - on Wednesday evening turned out to support party leader Julius Malema at his graduation ceremony in Pretoria.

Malema has attained a Bachelors of Arts degree in Communications and African Studies from the University of South Africa.

The EFF excitedly shared photos of Malema's family‚ their leadership and even the seat Malema has been assigned for the ceremony.

"The first duty of a revolutionary is to be educated‚" the EFF tweeted‚ quoting Che Guevara. "We congratulate u CIC on attainment of BA degree."

A slimmer-looking Malema posed with UNISA Chancellor Judge Bernard Ngoepe‚ and UNISA Principal Professor Mandla Makhanya in his graduation robes.

The party's number two‚ Shivambu‚ is also taking the education message to heart: He has a master’s degree in political studies from the University of Witwatersrand and has previously stated his intention to study towards a doctorate.
