“This report will detail how we have performed in the House‚ through the various parliamentary mechanisms available to us‚ and how we have used our position as the Official Opposition to hold government to account on the many crises which South Africa has faced in 2016‚” the DA said on Sunday.

It said the review would be presented by the party’s chief whip‚ John Steenhuisen‚ who would be joined by the DA deputy chief whip‚ Mike Waters. The party’s national spokesperson‚ Phumzile Van Damme‚ will chair the briefing.

“The DA continues to hold the ANC‚ as the governing party‚ to account in Parliament. Parliament remains a vital institution to ensure that the ANC government is not allowed to get away with corruption‚ policy indecision and a failure to create jobs‚” the DA said.
