The protest marches on Friday dominated search terms trending on Google SA from early morning.

South Africans searched for “march 7 April”‚ which trended at 6am and continued to see high levels of search interest.

  • MAPPED: A day of mass protests calling for Zuma to step downFriday marked an important day for South Africans as tens of thousands of people took to the streets. 

“Zuma must fall” and “Protest 7 April” each hit more than 10 000 searches by mid-morning. “Luthuli House” was trending with some 2 000 searches. Other terms seeing high levels of interest included “Save SA march” and “Protest action 7 April”.
