Samsung has launched its S7 flagship smartphone range in South Africa. MTN and Vodacom have revealed how much it they cost you on a contract.

There are two handsets - the standard 5.1 inch option, and a larger Edge S7 device has a 5.5 inch screen.

According to Fin24, Vodacom is offering the phones for R599 and R699 per month on 24 month ‘Smart Plan’ packages respectively.

If you go with the Vodacom option you also get a 6GB data deal, a D-Link speaker or a wireless charger and free access to music streaming service Deezer free for “six months on any plan and only free for 12 months to customers on the Red plans”.

MTN meanwhile is offering the phones from R 599.00 and R 649.00 with a once off data bundle of 30GB on their MTNChoice 100 contract.

You could alternatively go for the 36 month contracts, in which case you also get a free Samsung Gear VR (Virtual Reality) headset and only have to pay R449 a month.

Alternatively according to My Broadband you can buy the phones cash - on Takealot the standard S7 costs R13,999, and the S7 Edge costs R15,999.
