SA's Moodie through to doubles semifinals

South Africa's Wesley Moodie, winner of the 2005 Wimbledon doubles title, continued his winning run at the French Open with Belgian partner Dick Norman on Tuesday, beating Marc Lopez and Pere Riba of Spain in straight sets.

Fourth seeds Moodie and Norman, beaten finalists here last year, won 6-1, 6-4 to set up a semifinal showdown against second seeds Daniel Nestor of Canada and Nenad Zimonjic of Serbia, who beat Lukasz Kubot of Poland and Austrian Oliver Marach 7-5 6-3.

Unseeded Brazilians Marcelo Melo and Bruno Soares, who downed top-seeded brothers Bob and Mike Bryan earlier in the tournament, were beaten in three sets by Julian Knowle and Andy Ram.
