The Eastern Province Kings will appear before an SA Rugby Union (Saru) disciplinary hearing in Cape Town on Tuesday for allegedly breaching player eligibility rules.

Saru said on Monday that the Boland Rugby Union had complained that the EP Kings breached competition rules by fielding Rudi Keil in Saturday’s Currie Cup first division semi-final in Port Elizabeth.

The EP Kings won the match 26-25.

Saru said the hearing would be chaired by Koos Basson and would be held at its offices at noon.
